A major portion of the Hank Extension is now paved. The former RR line now has a fresh coat of blacktop from 94th St east to a spot just west of the bridge being built over Hawley/60th St..
When the bridge is completed (Oct?), the asphalt will continue east through the VA Grounds, over the freeway and then connect to the Hank Aaron Trail south of Miller Park.
The portion from 94th St. west to the Oak Leaf Trail will not be paved soon as it is to be used as a construction access drive for the Zoo interechange reconstruction, currently scheduled to begin in 2016.
